The NEW ORLEANS ECHOES Jazz Band has been in existence for over two decades and plays in a style which is both authentic and adaptable and which suits any occasion.
The Band has many years experience at playing for weddings and other such functions and have appeared at hotels, resorts and prestigious venues such as Scotney, Bodiam and Leeds Castles and Whitbread’s Porter Tun Room, in London and throughout the home counties. We play a variety of waltzes when required and our repertoire includes many pieces which will be recognised by the older guests as well as being bright and lively so as to appeal to the younger generation. We include vocals wherever possible and speciality blues and vaudeville songs from our lady vocaliste Miss Penny Payne.
The NEW ORLEANS ECHOES Brass Band and the NEW ORLEANS ECHOES SOUTHERN STROLLERS are well known all over the south-east at fetes, garden parties, carnivals, motor shows etc. including the Kent and South of England Shows and Test Matches at The Oval, Edgebaston etc. and we have also added the New Orleans touch to several funerals in recent years which you may have seen reported on television news. In fact our presence can enhance any type of outdoor activity or celebration.
